PEMF - Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields

What is MagnaWave PEMF?

MagnaWave delivers pulsed electro-magnetic fields (PEMF) through a coil placed on the body that helps "recharge" unhealthy cells with improved oxygenation and circulation, returning them to normal function. PEMF is said to improve cellular absorption of oxygen and nutrients, while eliminating toxins, resulting in inflammation reduction, improved recovery times, and performance in a drug-free way.

Application to the Body:

The practitioner positions the coil or other attachment (like a mat, or paddle) near or directly on the part of the body requiring a session. The generated electromagnetic fields then penetrate the body,  stimulating cellular metabolism. Sessions are anywhere from 20 - 45 minutes long depending on what the body can handle. PEMF is non-invasive and sessions are done fully clothed.

• The practitioner needs to see the muscles pulsating, please try not to wear anything too bulky.

• Please make sure you come to your PEMF session well hydrated

Cellular Stimulations:

Once the electromagnetic fields penetrate the body, they induce tiny electrical currents in the cells. This can stimulate the cells, promoting improved cellular function and health. It can increase ATP production (cellular energy), improve oxygenation, and help cells to detoxify and absorb nutrients more efficiently.

CONTRAINDICATIONS for PEMF:

• Implanted devices, pacemakers, defibrillators, glucose monitors, insulin pumps, etc. (can drain the batteries)

• Organ transplants and those on autoimmune drugs

• Pregnancy

• Active bleeding

• Epilepsy

• Anything not MRI compliant that can not be removed

• External metal fixators

Weighted forks are used on the body, which gives a gentle vibration. This can create a soothing effect on the nervous system. Sound vibration stimulates tissue at the site of pain promoting increased blood flow, enhancing circulation and reducing muscle tension. This can help relieve discomfort or stiffness in an affected area. Tuning forks and PEMF modalities fit nicely together.
